Speaking at the press breafing, Former Sri Lanka Football Federation president Jaswer Umar said that if the Minister of Sports, appointed a competent authority or interim committee, to the Sri Lanka Football Federation had a risk to impose an international ban. Speaking further, Jasever Umar said, ' The Sri Lankan Football Federation has risked an international ban. There are several reasons. One party has filed a facts against the Sports Minister against the current administration of the Sri Lanka Football Federation. It has taken steps to mislead the Sports Minister to appoint a interim committee for the Sri Lanka Football Federation. If the minister makes such a decision, it will inevitably impose international ban to the Sri Lanka Football Federation. '
Meanwhile,
the administrative activities of the Sri Lanka Football Federation has been
appointed under the interim committee despite this confusion. The Sports
Minister has taken steps to appoint the administrative functions of the Sri
Lanka Football Federation under the 3 men interim committee.
All
administrative activities will be handed over to the interim committee until
the coming election is held.
