According to reports, Sri Lanka’s highly talented young racer, Yevan David, has officially signed with Motopark for the 2025 Euroformula Open Championship. Recognized as one of the most promising young drivers in Asia, Yevan is taking the next major step in his journey towards Formula 1.

The 17-year-old Sri Lankan star has built an impressive racing rhythm, rising swiftly from a successful karting career to single-seater racing with outstanding results. After showcasing his talent in Formula 4 events, David is now set to compete across multiple circuits in the Euroformula Open series alongside the elite Motopark team.

Yevan’s transition to Euroformula Open marks a milestone for Sri Lankan motorsport, as he becomes one of the few South Asian drivers to race on a global stage. His progress serves as an inspiration to young racers across the region aiming for international success.

Top brands such as Merck Stop, Alcom, Deholi, and the Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC), are backing David on this ambitious journey.

During the 2025 Euroformula Open season, Yevan will go head-to-head with some of the brightest rising stars in motorsport. Races will be held at iconic tracks such as Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, and Barcelona. The season kicks off on April 27 at the Portimão circuit in Portugal.
